About me
I am a registered trainee psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Universities Psychotherapy and Counselling Association (UPCA). I am also a member of the Society for Existential Analysis (SEA), and currently researching approaches to addiction at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (Middlesex University) in London.
Alongside my private practice in South West London, I work with NHS and private referrals at an in-person psychotherapy service in Islington, and for a major online psychotherapy provider in Hammersmith. I adhere to UKCP’s ethical codes of conduct and practice, have regular supervision with BACP and UKCP senior psychotherapists, and comprehensive insurance.
I bring twenty years of experience coaching performers and leading programmes on music, mindfulness, and wellbeing. Prior to offering psychotherapy, I studied music at Oxford University, writing a doctorate and teaching music history and analysis at a number of colleges. I work frequently with musicians, actors, and those in high-stress careers on issues around performance and anxiety.
My interest in psychotherapy was rekindled when I became head of a college at a London university, leading and supporting programmes engaging with the mental health development of young adults. I regularly speak, perform, and provide workshops on wellbeing, music, and the arts, including for Oxford and Cambridge Universities, the Royal Academy (RA), and for a number of festivals and organisations across the UK.
