Psychotherapy

People come to psychotherapy when life seems too much, when they feel stuck, find emotions overwhelming, or when they lose the sense of who they are.

In therapy we explore together how life is for you, how you are living in the world, the choices you make, and what fears you may have around change.

Clients often discover a greater understanding of their lives and their values, and a renewed sense of purpose.

My approach is grounded in existential psychotherapy. This means I see problems you may bring as your authentic concerns about living and being human, rather than just medical or psychological disorders.

I work from an integrative frame and draw from a range of psychotherapies - existential, humanist, psychodynamic, cognitive and behavioural (CBT), mindfulness-based - to support you as you face the challenges in your life.

I’m interested in what’s going on for you in your current situation, how the past may be affecting how you are living in the present, and how an understanding of this can help you make choices about how you want to live in the future.

Starting therapy can be hard. I provide a confidential space where we can work with difficult emotions. I can support you in finding the courage to face the different ways life may be impacting on you.
